Vsevolod Kovalevskij b.1988 in Vilnius, Lithuania. Lives and works in Vilnius & Oslo.
The curator/artist attended the Rupert Educational Program in Vilnius, LT (2014), holds a BA and MA from the Vilnius Academy of Arts (2015), MA from the Tromsø Academy of Contemporary Arts (2018) and MA in Artists Film and Moving Image from Goldsmiths University of London (2018).
Kovalevskij currently is the director of InTheCloset Gallery and also works at the Contemporary Art Centre Vilnius. He previously was appointed as interim director of Tromsø Kunstforening (2020/21) were he was also working as a curator from 2018. Prior to his move to Norway in 2016 he was co-running artists run space Malonioji 6 and Sodų 4 in Vilnius Lithuanian (2014/16). He was initiator of artists group “YoungPoorArtists” (2013), curatorial assistant at Centre of Contemporary Arts Vilnius (2013/16), board member of Lithuanian Interdisciplinary Art Association (2014/16), board member of Norske Kunstforeninger (2019/20) and Norsk Kuratorforening (2021/23)
